Bonded Love ~ Renee Roman

This is my first book by Roman and I liked the story. I don’t know why I like stories with some kind of medical trauma but I do. Roman does a great job of building her characters. Although in the description of the book she starts with the carpenter, the character with the biggest change in the book is the nurse. I think of the nurse as the main character because she is the one who goes through the most change.
Roman is not afraid to introduce sex between her characters early on in the book, about 38% through. I checked. 😉 In this day and age waiting as long as some of the books produced today to introduce sex doesn’t seem realistic. Some would argue the prolonged wait is about the slow burn but as you know, I’m not into the slow burn. I want some action.
About the book - the carpenter gets hurt and ends up in the hospital. She meet the nurse who is ambitious and has plans for her future. Falling in love with the carpenter does not figure into her main plan. There is an attraction by both. The description states “Trinity knows all too well the odds are against Blaze but isn’t willing to let her stop believing.” I didn’t get this out of the book but that’s okay because the book was still a great read.
