Don’t Call Me Hero ~ Eliza Lentzski

Published November 2014 ~ Amazon

I listened to this book on Audible and Lori Prince was the narrator. I like Lori Prince as a narrator, she does a great job with inflection and changing her voice style. I had never read Eliza Lentzski and found her meandering through the tons of titles on Amazon. I liked this book and consequently read the other three related to the this story. Eliza’s characters came alive for me in the reading and which is not to say they don’t in the reading. When reading, sometimes it is difficult to picture the depth of emotion brought on by PTSD, but when you are listening to this book you can hear it in the narrators voice.

I liked that the main characters didn’t fall into each other’s arms right away. I liked that they did fall into sex right away especially with one of the characters acting like an ice queen and only softening up when she interacted with the other character. We’ve all had those dreams of meeting a woman and wanting to have a tryst (trying to keep it clean) without any strings. Lentzski does a good job of prolonging the relationship without strings. I also liked the power struggle between the two women or I should say perceived power struggle. The Marine was supposed to be the tough character, but she was a teddy bear especially when it came to the attorney. If you want to read this book, select the link Don’t Call Me Hero.
