Drawn ~ Carsen Taite

❤❤❤
I liked that Taite used an artist as her main character. By using the artist, Carsen gets to give a history of Dallas and some of the history behind the points of interest. Any book about Texas is near and dear to my heart, although, I prefer Houston over Dallas. Sorry all you Dallasinians. If I make a trip to Dallas, I will check out some of the places described in the book.
This story focuses on a series of murder victims found at the points of interest drawn by the author. A detective is on the trail of the killer and her attraction for the artist. This is another slow burn, but I struggled with this story. Don’t get me wrong, Taite writes a great story, but I don’t love her approach to the slow burn. Also, as with most of Taite’s book, the sex doesn’t happen until the end. I feel as if the love story is rushed and plays second fiddle to the subject of being an attorney or police officer. This is not a bad thing, Taite’s stories work, I just want more focus on sex and love and less on law. If you want to read this book, select the link Drawn.
