Something To Talk About ~ Meryl Wilsner

❤❤❤

I am attracted by book covers especially ones that aren’t the standard image of two women. Although this cover has two women, an illustration was used instead of an image. The cover also speaks to the part in the book where misunderstandings abound. Wilsner gives the reader a look into the production of a T.V. series and what is entailed to move up in the world of television production. The story also touches on the Me Too movement with an overt attempt of a male producer to get the assistant to perform a sexual act to get his support. The way the female producer handles the situation is perfect for the story.

The story focuses on two women, one a producer and the other her assistant. The producer is an uptight type A and the assistnat anticipates the producers every need. This is another slow burn book whereby the characters don’t get together until the reader is 75 to 80 percent through the book. The burn wasn’t bad because Wilsner writes the story well, the reader is okay with a slow lead up to consummation of the relationship.
