Fore Play ~ Julie Cannon

Published May 2018 ~ Bold Strokes Books

Okay so I loved this book. I really like the books where the characters step out of the norm and in this case, its an ex-convict and corporate executive. In my mind, the ex-con is justified in the action she takes to get sent to prison. Plus, she’s a collegiate golf champion. The executive works as a VP of IT, plays golf, and races motocross. I gotta say, I liked all the extra curricular activities, besides the sex. Yes, there was sex and it happens a few times. The protagonist in this story is a parole officer and he was definitely not like-able.

Couple of things I felt were left undone. One is the little sister, she’s a got minor role, but Cannon leaves us hanging as far as what happens to her in the story. I don’t want to say too much because I don’t want to give it away. Two is the ending. I’ve said this before, give me an epilogue. I want to know what happens to the characters especially with all the angst going on in this story. Yes, this was one of those stories where I yelled at the characters. :) Select the link if you want to read this story and see if you agree with me, Fore Play.
