This is the sequel to Five Moons Rising. I would recommend you read the first book as the story begins your introduction to the two main characters and how they got together. This is a fantasy about a werewolf and a human with specialized skills added through changes to her DNA. I liked this book because the story steps out of the standard werewolf genre and adds other supernatural flavors. The two women go to a small town in upstate New York to investigate teenagers dying for no apparent reason.

The sex in this book is phenomenal. MacTague does a great job with the sex scenes and there is an especially marvelous scene where one of the main characters masturbates. The scene is over the top erotic and if only all of our masturbation sequences could be so desire filled and fulfilling. The way she writes the scene gives the reader a feeling of wanting to have the same experience.
