The Inheritance ~ Ali Vali

I love Ali Vali’s books and I was not disappointed with this one. In my mind, if the author can get me to yell, laugh out loud, or feel anxious, the book is a success. This book elicited all of those reactions from me and is a winner. The depictions of the characters and their relationships created an emotional maelstrom of happiness and sadness. I applaud Ali on her ability to engage the audience from the beginning and string us along until the end.

Her sex scenes are fun and a turn-on. I like that the characters engage in a romp in the bedroom early on. Sometimes its frustrating to wait to the end to get to the good stuff. Let’s face it, if we’re honest, we are not only reading for the romance, but for the sex as well. She does an excellent job of setting the scene in her adopted home of Louisiana. You can tell her characters are infused with her love of the state as well. If you’re looking for a good read then this is definitely one you should pick up.
