Tropical Storm ~ Melissa Good

Published January 1999 ~ Pacific Eagle Publishers

This is one of the first lesbian romance novels I read. Before cells phones played a major role in our lives, before there was such a thing as cloud based software, Melissa Good delivers a corporate story set in the IT department. One of the main characters is a corporate hatchet person, she goes into companies and figures out what and who needs to be cut as well as takes over the information technology aspects of the take over. The other character is one of the mid-level manager of the company being taken over. The two characters come together and strike a deal. If the manager can figure out how to cut costs without sacrificing people, she can keep everyone’s job, if not, then everyone gets laid off.

Good creates depth in her characters and you end up rooting for both characters. You want them to get together. The only complaint I have about the books are the lack of sex. You know they have sex, but no details. Perhaps it was the time that this book came out, after all that was twenty years ago. If you want to read this book, select the link Tropical Storm.
