This is book two of the Five Points series. You should read book one Gold Star Chance before you read this one. Book one sets up the characters for this book, which is a continuation of the story. I liked both books. The main characters are a Sheriff and a Veterinarian. In this book, their devotion to each other is evident. The first book is another one of those books where the characters fall in love in school and then separate for a long period of time.

Murphy has developed great characters. She has a little bit of sex in the book even though she presents the characters as not being able to keep their hands off each other. Another interesting aspect to the sex is you get to read about the Sheriff making love to the vet, but not the other way around. Murphy glosses over the vet making love to the Sheriff.
