I like to read authors I have never read before and Harmon is one of those authors. Her story is set in a small country in Africa at the U.S. Embassy. The Ambassador is a woman who came back to the country she grew up in to try to make a difference. When she is threatened, a friend of hers who runs a security firm, sends in his best operative, The women butt heads but are also immediately attracted to each other. The characters are interesting and Harmon portrays both women as strong individuals.

There was a lot of build up to a sex scene but I was disappointed. The scene was vanilla compared to the smoldering looks and actions taken for the two characters to consummate their attraction.
