Time has flown by and I’ve been lax in adding to the blog. I have been reading a lot and writing a lot so hopefully you will forgive me for not posting any sooner. Let’s talk about this book. I liked the story and the characters. In fact, I want to steal the idea of an adventure jar and use the opportunity to create more fun adventures for my partner and I. The premise is about two women, another May to December love story, but for some reason this one didn’t bother me as much as others have in the past, who become friends, can’t resist each other, and fall in love.

The main character is a woman who gets jilted by her girlfriend at their engagement party. The other character is an older woman who is a veterinarian, she has sworn off love because of a bad break-up. They meet at a laundry mat, where their clothes get switched. They meet up again when the young woman’s dog eats her harness and has to go the vet. For those of you who want closure, they switch clothes back after the vet visit. This book has several humorous sections and I found myself chuckling as I read the mishaps befalling the younger woman.

There’s not a lot of angst. There is some but not enough for you to say, oh come on already. There is sex and the characters do engage before the end of the book, which you know I love. Overall, this is a sweet story and I definitely recommend the book as a summer read or Covid read or an everyday read. If you want to read the book, select the link The Adventurers.
