So not a lesbian romance, but a Zombie book that has as a main character an asexual man with sub-characters of a young gay couple, and a young lesbian who is interested in one of the female soldiers keeping everyone safe. I’ve said before I would highlight other genres and this is one of them. The main characters are made up of a woman is married to a man who is addicted to drugs. A man who has to kill his wife and son because they become infected. And the asexual man. Each chapter is dedicated to each one the main characters viewpoints. I like these types of books. Getting to know different characters and the way they view the world tells a better story.

I’ve read other books by Fleming and all of them are post-apocalyptic zombie books. Her writing is easy to read and there is enough action and drama to satisfy the zombie lovers out there. And she usually has one or two gay characters, not necessarily main characters but they usually have a bigger role than some of the other characters. This book is a first in her Cascadia series.
